THE AUTOMATIC TIMEPIECE
Automatic timepieces are designed for those individuals who see time as a cherished commodity and who believe a watch is an extension of their personality.
Our Collection consists of automatic watches which are self-winding and designed to gain power from the natural movements of the wrist; hence there is no need for a battery .
Manual winding is only a necessity when the timepiece has not been worn for an extended period of time.
Initially, an automatic watch must be wound manually before it will run automatically; this is known as the initiation process.
In order to initiate the power reserve, the watch must be wound manually.
To do this, turn the winding crown located at the 3 o’clock position, in a clockwise direction for 20-30 revolutions.
This is usually sufficient for most automatic watches. Please ensure you do not overwind your timepiece as this may cause damage to the internal mechanism.
Upon the completion of the initiation process, the timepiece will wind itself automatically, rebuilding the watches power reserve. Putting on your timepiece and swinging your wrist back and forth for around 30 seconds will initialize the power reserve.
In order for your automatic timepiece to gain a full power reserve it should be worn for a minimum of eight hours a day.
If this is not possible or your timepiece has not been worn for an extended period, you can restart the initiation process, manually rotating the crown clockwise and following the steps outlined above.
Looking after your automatic timepieces will ensure it looks after you, providing you with the enjoyment, satisfaction and appreciation of owning a stunning mechanical timepiece.
